Crazy Ride // Good things are not Easy

Well it's been a crazy ride getting to this decision and opportunity.  It all started with the choice of what i was going to end up doing this summer--Working or Study Abroad.  In the end the Lord had a major hand in the decision, He knew a better road.

After all the decisions were made the fun part started, how are you going to pay for this, how are you going to convince the parents--they don't like the idea, and how are you going to afford it--your supposed to be earning money not spending it?  All in all there was a lot of time spent at my desk in wonder and in study.

In other words for any good thing there are always choices and trade offs to be made.  ..."Lest to light a winning make the prize light."...  There is always a price to pay.  Latter in the night, the same night i choose to go to London i received a call from my mother.  She informed me that i needed to put to paper my plans for my education and send them to my aunt because my aunt and uncle were making decisions for my family scholarship.  I did so and was later informed of the out come.  With out going into detail the Lord always provides a way.  They told me i would be allowed to use my scholarship for my Study Abroad, it was  a tender mercy.

I still am hoping for a scholarship through BYU but i was told that most all other scholarships are need based, and given my parents i wouldn't qualify.  So i'm hoping that i will receive an academic scholarship.

So what's the point?  Any good thing comes at a price and even those who want everything good for you are forced to oppose you in some things.  So expect opposition even if its right and good and expect it even from those who you think should be jumping on the band wagon.  Its ok!  All in all i'm looking forward to this opportunity!
